Most of
the day was spent in the Pingyao Old Town (a traditional Han Chinese city founded in the 14th century).

We
walked to the top of the wall to have a look.
We
visited the preserved and restored first bank in China, Court Hall complex (and
saw the enactment of a trial) and the prison.
We bought some vinegar – they are mad about the stuff and hundreds of stores sell all types in all shapes and sizes of containers. There’s even vinegar tasting (not bad at all!)
In the
afternoon Marg and I went for a walk on the wall 1(1km).
Had the
farewell dinner (as Bryan and Greg were leaving the next day). A banquet with
drinks and presents for everybody!
