Shanxi Museum / Twin Pagodas Temple...

Went to Xinzhou (one hour north).

Visited the Shanxi Museum. It’s a very large museum and is graded No. 1 (the best grade for a museum in China). Needs a full day to view everything – the pictures only show a minute fraction of what’s on display.

After lunch we visited the Twin Pagodas Temple.

Climbed up one of the pagodas to take pictures (not all the way up). Steep steps!

We visited the Ancient City of Xinzhou – a restored city where people carry on normal businesses. Well restored and very picturesque, and right next to a segment of the city wall We bought some stuff too.

Walked a short way on the wall before going to the hotel.

Stayed at the Xinzhou Fanhua Jinglum Hotel. Dinner banquet (smaller) but had drinks there too.
